'Boot Club' (25/10/2006)

The Club is looking to establish a 'Boot Club' for junior members, the purpose of which is to raise funds for the club and, at the same time, allow parents to buy football boots at reduced prices.
As we are all aware children often outgrow football boots very quickly and the boots that no longer fit are often simply thrown away.

If you have football boots that no longer fit your child, are in good condition and would like to donate them to the Club, please contact Kevin Gibson.

A brief description of any boots on offer will appear on the website with a suggested price. Parents can then make an offer for the boots should they so wish.

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
