We started well and were playing some good football making good chances , David Simkins coming close twice untill in the last 5 minutes of the 1st half when David Ormerod handled the ball in the box to give away a penalty which they scored. Straight away they scored again when we had a lack of concentration in defence. We felt unlucky to be 2 down at half time and in the second half we played well with Kiel Hamelton, Daniel Faina and David Simkins all having good chances to try and get us back in the game. Against the run of play Edenfield got a third goal to seal the game and our heads dropped as we felt to have done enough to try and get back in the match, Right at the end they added a fourth but with a bit of luck in front of goal it could have been a different story.
In junior football, should all players be given the same amount of time on the pitch during a game, regardless of ability?
Yes, always. Getting kids involved is the most important thing.
Yes, unless it is an important game.
No. Winning is important at all ages, so the best players should play more often.
