We started the game well and were playing the ball around well, creating a number of chances. We went in front with 15 minutes played when Martin Trickett robbed their defender and took the ball on before firing an unstoppable shot past their keeper. Within 10 minutes we were two up when Adam Wagstaff picked the ball up just inside their half and weaved past a couple of defenders before coolly firing the ball home. Martin Trickett then had another good chance to score but with the ball sticking in the mud it gave their defender that extra split second to get a block in. With 5 minutes of the first half remaining they were awarded a free kick on the edge of the area after Andy Boulton was harshly adjudged to have fouled their forward, Andy appearing to get in a perfectly timed tackle to win the ball. The free kick was fired goalward and took a wicked deflection to wrong foot our keeper. Just before half time they were level when a lob forward deceived Craig Winters in our goal who slipped at the crucial moment. We began to dominate again in the second half and took the lead when a superb ball from Will Eaton found Adam Wagstaff who swept the ball into the Barrowford goal. They then equalised again following some sloppy defending from us, their forward having the easiest chance to score. We bagged all three points when a throw in found its way through to Craig Watts to fire home the winning goal. They put pressure on us but we held firm until the end to secure a valuable win.
