We were very poor and struggled to get started as we found it difficult to keep hold of the ball. Dan Bury sustained an injury which meant that the defenders had to take goal kicks. We went in fortunate to be level at the break and with 10 minutes of the second half played Dan Bury made a tremendous save, turning a free header from a corner onto the crossbar. Just before the hour mark, their striker shot and the ball managed to get past everyone and into our goal. Within 2 minutes, Martin Trickett broke away and he forced a very good save out of their keeper. With 65 minutes played, a ball round the back of our defence caught us out and their forward was on hand at the back post to poke the ball home. Five minutes later Martin Trickett had another chance, heading the ball over their keeper only to see it go narrowly wide. Just before the end they added a third with a good strike from 20 yards and then scored a fourth when we failed to clear the ball. All in all it was a very poor performance from us.
